Friday 5/2 – resting and healing

Judah is now 24 hours post surgery, and this is the time it is most important for him to rest and heal.

His doctors tell us that his incisions look great, all of his vitals and numbers are looking good, and this evening we were even able to give Judah a little bit of food through his g-tube again.

Judah is working through the pain with help from some strong medication, but despite the pain he wants nothing more than to roll over, stand up, and get out of this hospital bed. He keeps telling us he is “all done” and wants to “drive” (driving is one of his favorite activities at home). For now though he is spending his time mostly sedated, listening to music and reading books with mommy and daddy.

There is a continuous stream of Judah’s old doctors and nurses coming in and telling us how big he is and how much hair he has and how healthy and grown up he is and how much they just want to hug and squeeze him. For now Judah will continue to heal and sleep, but playtime will be coming soon. Again, we are incredibly thankful and appreciative for all of your thoughts, prayers, love and support. Every day we are doing a little better.
